Ruth (and Naomi)

Story found in the book of Ruth. Ruth is also mentioned in Matt 1:5.

Ruth was one of my original characters. This is another long story, with lots of details. I had to find a way to effectively tell it. There were a couple of problems I saw. Practically everyone knows the story and there isn't a lot of intrigue. No one betrays anyone else, there isn't any illicit sex, and no violence! But this story is so full of devotion, and it is remarkable that Ruth, a Moabitess, someone hated by the Hebrew people becomes part of the genealogy of Jesus Christ (why she is mentioned in Matthew 1:5). It is just another example how God's ways are not our ways. Wouldn't we expect that Jesus' genealogy would be full of kings and queens, people of great importance, however none of the four women mentioned in Matthew fit that description.
