An evening at the well – just like any of the others, until it takes an exciting turn when a stranger appears, who makes an interesting offer. Rebekah accepts the offer and travels to a new land to marry Isaac, her cousin, whom she had never met. But Rebekah plays favorites between her two sons and eventually interferes to ensure God’s words to her will be fulfilled. Her actions have dire consequences for her family. What a lesson for us today!
This another epic story with lots to tell. Rebekah does it with humor and a southern drawl. But her challenge to avoid playing favorites, and interfering in our family's and friend's affairs is no laughing matter. |
